Gulf Coast Adjustment Service of Houston, Inc. (dba Gulf Coast Claims Service and GCCS Claims Management) was founded in 1963 by C. E. “Mike” Michalek and his wife, Betty. Over the last half century, GCCS has expanded from a two employee field adjusting company to a nationwide Third Party Claims Administration and Adjusting firm.
The company remains family owned and operated. Jim Michalek serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and his son, Johnny, serves as President. With the addition of Jim’s grandson, Jim, III, GCCS can now boast four (4) generations of family involvement.
Our growth has been steady and calculated. From field or task assignments from domestic insurers to nationwide claims administration programs for Lloyd’s syndicates or self-insurers, our commitment to quality service remains the same. We’re ever mindful from where we came and ever confident in our forward direction.
